Description

We'll begin the tour in Cairo, exploring the famous Giza Plateau where you'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. The moment you see these Pyramids in person, you will never forget them. The site is located right in the city, contrary to what you may think, so you may hear the loud honks and bustling of the city surrounding it.

You can explore the area, take photos, and even enter inside one or two of the pyramids, but be extra careful because it's quite slippery. The Great Sphinx is not far from the pyramids. Its human head and lion’s body have inspired films, stories, and fables across generations.

After you finish with the Pyramids, check out the museums, starting with the Grand Egyptian Museum. In Cairo, you will find some of the most important artifact collections in the world, like royal statues, mummies, and treasures from different eras.

From Cairo, head over to Sharm El Sheikh, known for its pristine beaches, warm weather, and relaxed atmosphere. You can access the Red Sea from Sharm, snorkel, and dive in the coral-rich waters. You can also take boat trips to some of the islands nearby, like Tiran Island.

One of the major places to visit is the private marine reserve, Ras Mohammed National Park, where you can also snorkel and dive.

Back on land, you can enjoy a full day at Naama Bay, relaxing at the cafes and exploring fun activities such as horse riding, diving, and desert safaris. The location is also great for nightlife, so you can stay back, enjoy drinks at a pub, and vibe to the music. Some clubs have special events, so you want to look out for that.

With TRAVIAZ handling the details, this 7-day Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh is one to look forward to. Book your trip and experience the fun and historical sides of Egypt in one package.

Meals: lunch | Overnight: Hotel in Cairo

The second day of your memorable tour of Egypt will start with a glorious breakfast at your hotel and a subsequent check-out. Your professional TRAVIAZ Egyptologist guide will then take you to see some of the best monuments of ancient Egypt.

Great Pyramid of Khufu

The Great Pyramid was erected as a burial site for King Khufu (2609-2584 BC). This giant monument was planned by his great architect, Hemiunu, and at one time, it was 147 meters high and completed within 15 years. It weighs about six million tons, and it is the only surviving marvel of the old world--and when one is standing before the monument, it is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Sphinx

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a magnificent structure constructed out of limestone that has the body of a lion and also the face that is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. Our guide will explain its symbolism, mysteries, and the famous Dream Stele of Thutmose IV, which narrates a legend of the young prince and the dead Sphinx.

The Valley Temple

The next visit is a trip to the Valley Temple, an essential part of the Giza funerary complex.
This highly preserved building was utilized in rituals of purification and mummification and provides a great deal of information about the mummification and burial practices and religious beliefs of ancient Egypt.

The Egyptian Museum

Your next stop will be at the Egyptian Museum. The Museum houses a brilliant collection of artifacts that spans over 5000 years of Egyptian history. Among its priceless treasures are artifacts that had remained undiscovered for over 3,500 years, until the 20th century, when most of them were discovered.

This museum holds the largest and most valuable collection of ancient Egyptian art, and it provides a personal and unique insight into the life, beliefs, and achievements of this large civilization. With your expert guide by your side, the stories behind these masterpieces will vividly come to life.

At the end of the tour, our professional team at TRAVIAZ will drive you back to your hotel.
