Your first stop will be at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery of the New Kingdom (c. 1550-1070 BC). Your guide will tell you about the burial practices, the carvings on the walls, and the beliefs regarding the afterlife that defined this great period in the history of ancient Egypt.
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Next, you will visit the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This stylish terraced temple was constructed in the 15th century BC to honor one of the most successful female rulers of Egypt.
